List of models approved by PrintWayy

Over time, we end up feeding a considerable number of compatible/homologated printers into our system and that number is growing daily.

In the link below is available for consultation which are the models approved via network and also via USB. It also informs you if a certain model is not compatible or has not yet been tested! If the model you need to monitor is not appearing on the list, just contact our support for the homologation process.

List of Approved Models

What is the homologation process?

The homologation process is a procedure performed only by our support team and takes about 20 minutes to complete. In this procedure it is necessary a remote access to the environment with the printer not homologated and it needs to be connected to the network. Each approval procedure is unique and necessary only once, i.e. a printer model X, once the procedure is done, it will not be necessary to perform again and will work globally in all installation points!

Do USB printers need to go through the homologation process?

No! USB printers have a different and practical way of communication, it is necessary that it is turned on and connected and it is also important that a search for USB printers is made on PrintWayy Client. If the communication is OK, the printer will be found, and finally just go back to the Printers menu and monitor it.

If no printer is found, there are a few steps you can take to test its operation:

  1. Turn off the printer and change the USB port on the computer, turn it back on and scan;
  2. Turn off the printer's bidirectional support and scan;
  3. Contact our support.

Note: Every computer that has a USB printer connected and needs to be monitored must have PrintWayy Client installed!

What is the status of the Approval list?

Approved via network: It means that this printer model has already gone through the approval process and can be monitored at any point.

Network monitoring not yet tested: We haven't had the chance to carry out the homologation procedures on this model yet, so we don't know about its compatibility.

Not compatible with network monitoring: This model has already gone through the approval process and tests have been carried out in relation to its compatibility and, for some reason, it did not meet our standards and therefore cannot be monitored.

USB Approved: It means that regardless of the need for testing or not, the USB printer responded to the commands sent by the PrintWayy Client and was monitored!

USB monitoring not yet tested: We haven't had this model monitored by PrintWayy yet, remembering that USB printers don't go through the same homologation process as network printers.

Not compatible with USB monitoring: This model has already gone through the possible procedures of tests regarding its compatibility and, for some reason, it did not respond according to our standards, therefore it cannot be monitored.
